Gold vs Silver Test
Holding gold and silver against your face is a draping session compressed into thirty seconds. Metal is unusually good at this job: it reflects a large, pure block of warm or cool light straight up onto your jaw and cheeks, with no pattern or texture to distract you. Gold throws yellow light; silver throws blue-white light. Whichever one your skin agrees with tells you which half of the color wheel your undertone lives in — and that single call decides more of your wardrobe than any other.
Most people get an unclear result because of how they test, not because they are hard to place.
Gold wins. Your skin looks lit from inside; yellow and peach tones in your face come forward and any grey settles. You are in the warm family — Spring or Autumn.

It does, but judge the glow rather than the contrast. On deeper complexions both metals show up strongly, so look for which one makes your skin look even and luminous, and which one leaves a dull or ashy cast along your jaw.
Wear silver. These are guidelines for what flatters fastest, not rules. If you love a cooler metal, move it slightly away from your face, choose a warmer stone setting, or balance it with a warm top near the neckline.
