Using your live camera or an uploaded photo, it simulates the classic fabric-draping test used in professional color studios: calibrated color overlays let you see, in real time, how different hues interact with your skin's undertone, and a structured decision flow narrows your result down to one of eight seasonal sub-types.
Professional in-person color analysis typically costs between $100 and $300 per session and simply is not available in many cities. We built ColorMatch AI because we believe everyone deserves a reliable starting point — in their own language, on their own device, at no cost, and with no account, app install, or photo upload required.
Our tests are grounded in seasonal color analysis, a framework that grew out of early 20th-century color-harmony research by artists and educators such as Johannes Itten and became world-famous in the 1980s. It classifies personal coloring along three dimensions — undertone (warm or cool), value (light or deep), and chroma (clear or muted) — resulting in four seasons and, in the refined system we use, eight sub-seasons.
ColorMatch AI offers four complementary test methods: a warm/cool quick check, a multi-signal undertone test, a four-season draping flow, and a full palette-draping comparison. Each one is a digital adaptation of a technique a human analyst would use in a studio.
We are equally honest about the limits of any online test: screen color calibration, ambient lighting, and makeup all influence what you see. ColorMatch AI is a pure front-end application: there is no server that could receive your images. Your camera stream and uploaded photos are processed exclusively in your browser's memory and vanish when you close the page.
